Issue 21: Closer to the source
The colors pop more when you're closer to the canvas.
Dearest reader,
I trust this letter finds you as it leaves me, in good health. In between long, quiet walks, engaging in some part-time work I’ve picked up over the past couple months, and reading Tell Me How Long the Train’s Been Gone (the current “main” book on the table), I’ve been lucky to find myself spending more time in the studio these days. I’ve been practicing piano more, and have begun to rely on it a lot more as a fundamental piece of my writing and sound exploration process.
I took a few minutes before sitting down to write today’s letter to collect five drafts from the past week into a playlist to share with you. As always, I hope to eventually see a few of these through the finish line when the time’s right. Also as always, it’s meaningful to be able to share my work and process with you, and I hope you find part of what I’ve shared today stimulating.
Thank you for listening.1
Love,
Reef
